Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

So don't really ask me what the title is about.. I just thought it would be fun!!! :D

Well I'll answer the questions from the Blog Challenge on this post.. I know. I know what you are thinking. Why did you decide to do a blog challenge, and not keep up with it. Well I was thinking it would be a lot easier to blog everyday... until you get sick, behind on house stuff, and would rather spend time with your husband and puppy! :D

So I may skip a few challenges, and just go to todays challenge...

Challenge 12: Where did you grow up....
I might as well say I grew up in Bentonville (were I live now) We moved here when I was in 2nd grade. So I believe this place is where I grew up. I love it here. It was a great place to call home. Over the years of living here I have been able to see the massive changes in the area. We have definitely seen this city/cities grow.

Challenge 13: Where are you spiritually?
I feel like this fluctuates from day to day. There are days I wake up, and am in sync with God. There are other days I wake up, and feel like it would be better for me to go back to bed and start over. This question is asking if you are in a valley or on a mountain.... I believe right now I would be on a mountain or almost on a mountain. Life is going pretty good. Not every day or week is perfect, but it's not horrible.

Challenge 14: If you had unlimited resources what would your life look like?
Wow. I feel like everyone is kind of similar on this one. I would probably upgrade some things in my life... like new appliances, car, decorations, etc. I would probably have TONS of children's books.. (not for my pleasure, but for my future classrooms pleasure) My classroom would be ballin'! I would be the greatest teacher with the coolest tools in the classroom. I would also give money/things to those who needed it... Why keep it if I have unlimited resources.

Challenge 15: I don't leave the house without....
Cell phone. I feel like everyone does this. I feel really odd without it.
Planner. I live by my planner. If I don't have it I can't function... Especially when someone asks if we can do something.
Burts Bee's. I LOVE burt's...
There are several things in my purse that go with me all the time! But I would say those are 3 things that are necessities!

So this past weekend was great! It was nice having Nathan at home. We were able to catch up on laundry and other tasks that didn't get done this past week due to illness!

Samantha has gotten where she will grab things she knows she shouldn't have and RUN! She loves to get Nathan's shoes and run away. She looks so cute the majority of the time. It's hard not to laugh. But here is a picture of her with the shoe... She's getting so big!
This is a task that I've wanted done for a while now. My mom told me about the idea, and I just needed to go get the supplies for it. I finally got the supplies, and painted the letters. Nathan was able to hang them up! I really love this in our bed room! It really adds to it! :D
I said that I was going to post a picture of what my grandaddy brought last weekend. He had given me my Nana's china, and then offered to bring the cabinet too! I LOVE IT!!!
It's just what we need in that corner! I can't decide if I want to leave it how it is, or paint it. I for sure want to change the handles... but I think the brown goes good with our house. Not sure!

So yesterday I was online, and realized that Bentonville and Rogers have both posted their openings. I looked at all the schools, and my dream job was posted! I immediately got my resume, cover letter, and references in order and printed. Today I headed out to the field. I was able to stop by all the elementary schools, and drop off my stuff. I was only able to meet with one principal, but the rest I just left my resume with. I'm subbing at "my dream job" school tomorrow, so I'm hoping to stop by and talk to the principal and let her know she can come watch me teach while I am subbing. So I am hoping that things work out, and if "my dream job" happens that would be awesome, but if I get another job somewhere else I would love it too. I am ready to teach!

So if you could join and pray that God's will be done that would be awesome!
Also I would love to know who all reads this, so if you want to leave a comment or start following me that would be awesome!

**For those of you that coupon.. or those that don't... There is a coupon for Glad air freshener $3 off at coupon.com. Well I went to Walmart today and they are on sale there for $4.89 originally $7. So I got the Glad air freshener for $1.89 or so! :D

Challenge 6-11

I hate that I keep having to do several challenges in one... I wasn't planning on doing this, but then who ever plans on getting sick.

So Let's get caught up:

Challenge 6: tell us about your best friend when you were 16, and where you two stand today.

Ok... So my best friend when I was 16 would probably have been Jordan. In high school there was a group of us though that all hung out together. It was a fun time hanging out as girls. Jordan and I had been friends since elementary school. We were told several times that we looked a like and could have been "twins." Life was fun! Then I got a boyfriend, and things kinda went down hill not only just with her but the rest of the girls. I ruined my friendships with my girlfriends because I wanted to spend all the time with this boy (who I would like to remark is no longer in the picture now, so I lost big time) Now today we are still friends, but not near as close as we could be if I wouldn't have made a mistake in high school!

Challenge 7: tell us about your wedding

Well luckily this is fresh on my mind.
I would post tons of pictures, and tell you about every moment of it... BUT I've already done that before! So I'll leave you with this picture of the entire wedding party.
My wedding was just what I wanted. Purple and Red! Simple but elegant! Personal!
The sanctuary was decorated just as you see in this picture... Simple and elegant. My dad did the wedding, so it was very personal... And like most people say.. It was kind of all a blur. It went by so fast!

Challenge 8: The best advice you've ever received

This is a hard one.... I'm not sure I can pick one thing.
Hmm..
I would definitely say that trusting in the Lord is the #1 thing to do.
Without Christ life can be a struggle.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

Challenge 9: A photo of your last significant purchase. Did it satisfy a need or a want?

Well... I'm not going to post a picture because I post a picture of this ALL the time!
It would have to be our dog Samantha! :D

I would say it satisfied a want! But she was well worth it! It's been a challenge some days, but been well worth it!

Challenge 10: What is your favorite way to pamper yourself?

Hm... I love to relax. Being on the couch reading a book or resting. I also love to get my toenails and fingernails painted! :D

Challenge 11: The greatest vacation or trip you've ever taken

Hmm.. This is hard. I've had the privilege to go to several places. I'll give you my top 3. (I won't add pictures because I have posted about all 3)

#1. Europe: I was able to go to Europe with my dad one summer. It was a blast to spend time with him, and learn about the church's history. I learned a lot while seeing the sights of Europe. So fun!

#2. Thanksgiving trip to PA: We went to PA to visit Zach and Kristen for Thanksgiving. It has always been a dream of mine to see the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade LIVE. I always get up to watch it on TV well I got to see it LIVE this past year! It was AWESOME! One of the bests!

#3. Mexico. Nathan and I went to Cancun for our Honeymoon. It was fun going on our first trip together. It was a great time to relax, and spend time together!

I promise the other challenges I'll try to post pictures, so they are more interesting. I just wanted to get caught up with the challenge!

Have a great Thursday!! :D

Feeling MUCH better!

So Sorry I haven't posted in a while.... almost a week I guess.
I was planning on posting for the past few days about our weekend and Spring Break... well then I got sick. So here we go on an update on our lives!
Friday I came home from subbing, and had a cough. I started to not feel good at all. My body was aching. During the night I woke up, and my body was aching all over. Definitely sick.
Well my family was planning on coming over Saturday night for dinner. I couldn't be sick. It was the first "guests" we've had for dinner. And my grandaddy was in town, so it had to happen. Well I pushed through the sickness... taking medicine every 4 hours (over the counter).
They still came over, and it was fun but I still wasn't feeling the greatest.

**I tried some new recipes (My grandaddy asked me to post them for my aunt because he like them so much!)

They both were SUPER easy, and really good.
After dinner we played Apple to Apples which is always a family fun game.

Samantha really loves shoes of any kind... She really likes the chacos though!
Samantha kept snuggling up next to DD. She couldn't get close enough to him! :D

So Sunday came, and I was hoping to get better because my dad was grilling out Sunday night. Well that wasn't happening. My body was still aching, and I was coughing constantly. So I had to miss dinner that night (and my dad said the steaks were really good :(...) I was supposed to sub Monday and Tuesday because school was in session to make up some snow days.. Well that didn't happen because I was still feeling cruddy.
Monday I just slept/relaxed. I finally got some medicine to start making me feel better. My body had also stopped aching.
Tuesday I was feeling much better. Still just hung out around the house though.

Yesterday my family decided to head up to Branson for the day. Luckily I was feeling better, so I was able to go with them. While there I was able to get Karen Kingsbury new book!!!!! :D I was super excited, and can't wait to start reading it. While shopping I was very disappointed in the clothing selection. There really wasn't a whole lot of stuff that was appealing. Not sure if the summer clothes haven't come in yet, or if that's what we have this year (hope not)
I think I found my easter dress though....Not for sure though. Still looking.

Not doing a whole lot today. Just hanging around the house with Samantha. She's been a good dog this week with me being sick for the most part. Luckily Nathan is only working until 5pm today, and then he is off Friday and Saturday!! :D So then we can hang out for the rest of the weekend! :D
Here are a few pictures of our little puppy!! :D
She was sleeping on the couch. Of course when I got the camera she had to look at me!
We had to get her more dog food, and she went crazy over it!

I will be posting another post to catch up with the blog challenge since I am few days behind due to sickness.
*Also will be posting a picture of the china cabinet my DD brought me this past weekend! Considering sprucing it up a bit, but not sure how... And we are doing a picture wall in our bedroom will post pictures when done!*

I dislike...

So Challenge Day #5

something you could definitely live without

Hmm.... this is a hard one.
I could definitely live without dark mornings due to day light savings time.
I could definitely live without thick hair. Having to have it thinned is a pain. I guess maybe later on in life I will appreciate it if it starts to thin.
I could definitely live without BUGS... that goes for any and all. I do not do well with creepy crawling things.
I could live without extreme cold and extreme hot weather.
I could live without the "need" to spend 30 min. in the morning (if I take a shower at night) on myself getting ready. (guys lives are a lot easier. ha)
I could live without sickness. I hate being sick. Life would be easier without the pain of getting sick.

Those are just a few things I could live without.

Today was a great day at school. The kids were great, and well behaved as usual. One boy's girlfriend broke up with him today at recess. Oh the joys of being in kindergarten. ha

So I have a few home makeovers to do... sometime.
I got my Nana's china cabinet, and I am thinking about redoing it. Either painting it black and replacing the hardware.. Not sure what exactly. I just can't wait to get it done so I can put her china in it! :D
I also am planning on doing a wall in our bedroom with picture frames and letters (kinda hard to picture with that description, so I'll have to show you when it's done)

Hope you have a great weekend, and those of you on Spring Break.. Have a great one.
Bentonville goes to school Monday and Tuesday, so I'm subbing then! :D

** Also I talked to the principal today, and he told me to bring my resume by. Plus take the time to take my resume to other elementary schools! So here we go :D Hope my resume is pretty impressive. Ha

Spring Forward Challenge 1-4

So I am a bit behind on the Spring Forward 30 day Challenge. I decided to combine challenges 1-4 to catch up.

Challenge 1: A Picture of you and something you like about yourself
So I decided to post a picture of one of my bridal portraits!
Now for something I like about myself. I love that I have a passion to teach. It makes it fun to go to work. If I hated my job then I would be miserable. I don't think I would ever want to get a job.

Challenge 2: Something you really don't like about yourself
Hmm... It's hard to pick just one. Ha
I don't care for the fact that I am VERY task oriented. It's good sometimes, but other times I am so task oriented that I can't just "relax." (Nathan can testify)

Challenge 3: A photo of something you ate today, and was it worth it?
So I'm not going to post a picture of what I ate because I didn't take a picture of it AND it isn't some name brand thing.
For lunch I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. AND YES it was SOOO worth it because it took me back to my childhood! :D

Challenge 4: Something or someone you can't live with out because you've tried
Hmm. I feel like there is a lot of things I could say:
1) Parents... I haven't really "lived without them" I mean if you count living four hours away from them living without then yes I have.. Ha. But there is no way I could live without them. They are always there for me to vent, ask questions, or a good hug!
2) My Nana: She is one lady that I have looked up to. She was such a Godly lady. She passed away from cancer, and she was never down. I constantly saw her trusting in God through the whole situation. And now it is a great thing to know that she is with Jesus today with no more sorrow and no more pain! :D
3) Friends: I've had great friendships in the past. We had a blast hanging out together, and leaning on each other. Then I made stupid mistakes, and those friendships are still there but VERY distant than what they used to be.
I could go on and on with this challenge... but I'll stop now considering it really only wanted one! ha

So these are the first 4 challenges. I'll continue with Challenge #5 tomorrow. If you blog you should link up and join in! :D

I SAW A LEPRECHAUN

Well here goes day 2 with the kindergarten class....
My oh my. They are so full of life.
As you know today was St. Patrick's Day.

Some of the other teachers did stuff to "hide" items a Leprechaun left. When the students got to school there were foot prints out in the hallway. They were ALL freaking out. All day I believe I heard... I saw a Leprechaun. I am going to catch one. ALL DAY! Ha. It made for a fun day.

Kids also amaze with how much they realize is going on in the world around them. First thing this morning we were going over calendar. A girl raised her hand, and said, "Did you know there was a tsunami in Japan." Then another piped in and said, "Yea, It killed ____ many people, and ____ are missing." Another girl replied with, "Yes, but the United States are helping them."
I was shocked at the way the students knew about the tsunami, and everything they knew about it. They are in Kindergarten.
Tomorrow is my last day with them. It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow!

Tonight we are having chicken with vegetables. This morning we put it in the crockpot before heading to school, and it cooks for 8 hrs. It smells really good. I'll have to let you know how it turned out, and post the recipe tomorrow.

I'm also considering joining a Spring Forward blog challenge for the next 30 days that my friend Aleasa is doing on her blog. (So I'll post about the first 4 challenges right after this!)

Hope you're having a great day!

** Also Samantha has almost learned to shake (it takes a few tries to get her to do it)
**If you have any suggestions for dinner that I should make my parents and grandaddy please post! Thanks

Did you borrow Miss M.'s clothes?

The calzones turned out GREAT! They were really really good! Nathan raved about them.
So yesterday afternoon I took Samantha over to my parents to play with my parents dog Suzy. Samantha is now about the same height of Suzy, so it was really funny to watch. Samantha always try to get under bigger dogs for some odd reason... Well she used to be able to do that with Suzy, but now she can't. It was hilarious to watch.

While there she drank TONS of water, and I think she got sick from it. She threw up a few times while there, and then we came home and she was acting funny. She was obviously laying down a lot because she was tired, but then she did something really weird. We were laying around, and she got up to move positions. I looked under here, and there was a HUGE wet spot under her like she had gone pee. I of course became really nervous. We began to read about it, and of course you read stuff like UTIs, etc.....

We called the vet, and the vet said she should be fine... She could've just had to much water and couldn't hold it while laying down (it's common in puppies)... Luckily we are going Saturday to take her, and if it gets worse we can go in earlier.

So this morning I went to sub for a kindergarten class at a new school. I'm subbing for them until Friday, so I was really hoping they were a good class. (yes they are!) I woke up this morning, and could NOT get out of bed. This dark thing at 5:45am isn't cool. It was still dark when I got to the school, and school started at 7:15am. Man.. I would hate to be a little kid. They all were complaining they were tired. DUH! (sorry I could go on about starting school for the little ones at 7:15am, but I won't) I get there and got to meet the principal which made me excited because I haven't met a principal of a school yet. I wanted to pull out my resume and hand it to him, but not sure that was the right time.

Well my class walks in, and they are so cute. They kept looking at me, and would just smile! :D
So I decided to post some funny things that happened/were said today:
1. They constantly asked me my name. (I think they were searching for my first name because they then told me their moms names was Sandy, Brenda, etc)
2. I got asked if I borrowed their teacher's clothes. I jokingly said yes, not thinking they would really believe me. Another boy in the class then came back later, and said, "Did you really borrow Miss M.'s clothes." ha
3. The picture below is what I wore today. I had several questions about my belt. I had them first ask what it was. How it worked. Then one little boy said well why are you wearing it... To hold up your clothes? HA
(I feel like a pregnant lady taking pictures of my belly... No dis to those that do.. I just don't normally take pictures of myself in a mirror)
4. I got told they loved my flower. Their moms wear them sometimes
There were many other things they said... I just forgot. I need to keep a notebook by me, and write things down.

As I was leaving today I again saw the principal, and he asked me how my day was. He then asked if they'd see me tomorrow! Maybe by Friday I could bring in my resume....
I had to leave you with a picture of the sweet little girl... She is learning to pose for pictures! (You're welcome mom)
She also is learning to shake, and fetch a ball!

My grandaddy is coming in this week (tomorrow actually) He is bringing my nana's china cabinet for me to put her china in. I'm super excited!!!! :D
Saturday the family is coming over here, and I am cooking for them! WOW.. That's crazy.
But I am wondering if you have any recipes I should use... I'm kinda drawing a blank, so maybe you guys could suggest some and i'll find one! (desserts are welcome too!)

As I would say during Student Teaching semester...
IT'S HUMP DAY! :D

Calzones... or not so calzone

So this afternoon I got started on dinner pretty early. That way it would be out of the way. Since I didn't have to sub.
*On a side note though I got 3 more days for this week. So that means I will have subbed 3 1/2 days for the entire week!!! And for another school, so it will hopefully help me get in, and get my name around.*
Back to the cooking:
Well I figured this would be an easy challenge. Calzones. I mean come on who couldn't make one. Well.....
This girl can't!
Don't get me wrong I'm sure they are going to taste great for dinner, but they look nothing like a calzone you would get from pizza hut, johnny brusco's, gusanos, etc.
It is a great recipe, and really easy to make. Not to time consuming. They have you use ground turkey which has become something I enjoy cooking with. It is supposed to be healthier for you.
Here is a close up of one of them... Hmm. Definately not going to have my own cooking show anytime soon.
Here is the recipe for the Tex Mex Calzones
Maybe they will turn out "looking" better for you! I'll post tomorrow *hopefully* and let you know how they taste!
How can I not leave you with a picture of the pretty girl! I had to put her in her kennel because she was going crazy while I was trying to cook. She hates going in, but once she gets in she is perfectly fine. Today has been a better day with chewing. We have gotten a spray to spray on things that she can't chew on. The corner of the table in the living room she still enjoys chewing on it, so we heard tabasco sauce works. We tried it....
SHE LOVED IT! oh gosh. She licked it off, and then went biz-irk of course, but then kept going back for more... Oh my gosh. Maybe she really doesn't like it since she went biz-irk because it made her feel different. Hopefully she won't go back to it... We'll see.
She is so good. We are teaching her to stay until we tell her to come. It is working really well. I'll have to video her and show you as well as let you know how dinner tastes tonight!

It's the inside not the outside that counts!

WEEKEND Getaway!

So I apologize.. I know I promised a wordless wednesday last week.. Well my pictures wouldn't load. And so I couldn't have a wordless wednesday without pictures. It would've been a blank blog post. So today is an update on my life + pictures!!!
Here is the picture of the items you need for the chicken pot pie I made last week... Some time ago.
2 cups cooked chicken, 1/2 cup carrots, 2 hard boiled eggs, 1/2 cup frozen peas, 1 can cream of chicken, 1 cup chicken broth (cream of chicken and broth were mixed in one bowl) 1/2 cup bisquik, 1 cup milk (bisquik and milk mixed in another bowl), 1 stick butter melted (in the last bowl)
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 2 quart casserole dish. Layer the chicken, eggs, carrots, and peas. Pour the mixed cream of chicken and broth over the lays. Pour the mixed bisquik and milk over the casserole. Drizzle butter over. Bake until brown (30 t0 40 min).
I realized this was sideways after I posted it.. Bu this is where Samantha stays while I cook.. (We have had to move the rug now because she likes to chew on it)
This is what the chicken pot pie looks like before it is in the oven
This is after. It was REALLY good. Probably not the healthiest, but sooo good!

This past weekend we headed on our first road trip. One of Nathan's friends got married Friday, so Friday morning we headed up to the St. Louis area. We had loaded the car, and were getting ready to print the directions out when I look over and Samantha is chewing on a cord. I tell her to "leave it" which is our new phrase with her. She doesn't of course, and I go over to her... She has chewed all the way through it. We now have no internet. Luckily Nathan had another cord, so we were able to get it all back up and running, so we could print the directions. So we are off now! We were puttin' along, listening to music, watchin' Samantha in the back seat in her crate. Everything was going GREAT! We were out in the middle of nowhere southern Missouri looking for a gas station soon because we were getting low. All of a sudden Nathan freaks out and jerks the car to the side of the road. I couldn't figure out what was going on.... He said the car is over heating, the car is over heating. The light had come on, and the arm was pointing to the RED! Oh my! So he pops the hood and the car was out of the coolant "stuff." Keep in mind we were in the middle of nowhere. Did I mention that? I'm on the phone trying to figure out where a service station could be when a guy on a four wheeler comes up to talk to Nathan. He lets him know that there is a service station about 100 yards right around the bend. So we get back in the car, and head that direction.
This is what we came upon:
We were out in the middle of NOWHERE!
Well Barton's was able to help us out. There was a hole in the pipe, and they luckily were able to replace it. The guy had to go "into town" to get antifreeze to replace the stuff that leaked out (which was all of it) He then had to call "into town" to see if they had the pipe/tube. They didn't, but luckily he found something that "would work" in his place. About an hour and half later we were back on the road with 2 hours to go and the wedding starting in an hour.
Let's just say we missed the ceremony.. We were able to make it to the reception.
The plan was to stop at the place where we would be staying the night to change and get ready with plenty of time to relax. Well with the car problem we didn't have time or a key. We ended up stopping at the first gas station we saw. We ran inside and changed in out nice attire.. Let's say that was the first time I changed into a dress in a gas station bathroom.
We headed to the reception. When we got there we parked....

AND GOT STUCK IN MUD...
We did get the car out, but it took 3 guys to push it out. Man what an eventful day.
Here's a picture of us after the wedding... Sorry my eyes look so bug eyed.
The next morning we woke up and headed to St. Louis to see some friends. We got there around lunch time. We decided to head to the St Louis Zoo. It was such a nice day to be at the zoo, and see all the animals!
We headed back that afternoon, and rested at the apartment of our friends. That night they headed to a roller derby match, so Nathan and I decided to head a few blocks over to a nice restaurant to eat. We then walked back after visiting a few shops.
The next morning we woke up, and went to breakfast. It was a place called crepes. They had some great breakfast there.
I decided to get a crepe (since it's the name!) Mine was a "sweet" crepe.
It was filled with nutella, homemade whip cream, and strawberries! Let's just say it was
AMAZING!
My lovely crepe. So much I couldn't eat it all!
Maria, Me, Nathan, and Ben at crepes!

We then headed home after such a great weekend!
Today has been a great day as well. I was able to teach a 1/2 day for 4th grade. The teacher told me that the students liked me so much that she has me on her "request" list now! YES!!!! :D
After work I headed to Borders since they are having a going out of business sell in hope to get a few children's books. They were highly picked over, but I was able to get 3 children's books: Dear Mr. Henshaw, Mania Magee, and a Research Guide book the goes along with a Magic Tree House Book! It was great!
Then Samantha and I headed to puppy class again tonight. She was a lot more vocal tonight, and barked quit a bit. I was highly embarrassed because she wouldn't stop. She was definitly more playful this week though. We talked about toys, and how some can be very bad for dogs, and then we did some agility activities. The dogs had to step over bars, sit on a platform, go through a tunnel, and then walk across the balance beam. Samantha did a GREAT job. Even the trainer said so herself! :D
She of course is pooped now which is always nice. We don't have it next week because of Spring Break, so I am going to have to find something else for us to do.

I will try and be better this week about posting. It just hard having her because she is at the stage where she's got the potty thing now but she just wants to chew on EVERYTHING.
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, and a great start to the week! :D

Talkative Tuesday

So today is going to be just a talkative Tuesday.
I haven't uploaded my pictures from the past week or so.. So therefore we won't have any pictures.

Let's catch you guys up on our lives...
Well I have been very busy with the puppy. An update on her:
She has seen the vet. Everything is normal. Her potty training is going great! We are constantly having to just ask if she needs to go out, but she is doing better at going to the door. (It takes time) We also are doing better with her in her crate. She doesn't whine near as much anymore. She is more willing to go in, and stay in! It's bee nice. She is still struggling with chewing on things around the house, but we are just constantly giving her things to chew on instead.

Nathan is in love with the deep fryer... He had made funnel cakes, deep fried oreos... Everything that is so Healthy for us... haha.

Last week was really nice weather wise. I was able to take Samantha walking on our trail around the lake twice. It was really good for her. She was able to interact with other dogs and people plus it wore her out!
I got to work twice last week. I was in 3rd grade and 1st. The 3rd grade class was wonderful. I have come to love the older grades. I have also come to love the school that I have been in.

The past weekend we didn't do a whole lot. Friday Nathan and I worked, so we hung out Friday night. Saturday we slept in which was awesome. We then went to a Frisbee golf course in Rogers with some friends. We took Samantha with us, so she could run around and play. She crashed when we got home. Sunday we went to church. Friday I came down with something. I have been sneezing, and had a stuffy nose. So Sunday I had gotten worse that I just stayed home and rested after church. Still confused on what I have. Who knows.

Yesterday I worked, and had 4th graders. They were wonderful! They were very cooperative, and listened. I got to teach them about fractions and decimals. They had to change them into the other. Wow. I never thought this would be so confusing. Especially since they left it with a sub. Well good thing I have a degree in teaching... ha. And know how to do it. I worked with them for a while practicing it. 1/2 way in to it.... I finally started to see light bulbs go off! It was WONDERFUL! I love those teaching moments!

After school I came home for a little down town before I took Samantha to puppy school! We headed down there (Fayetteville) I was a little skeptical because I didn't know a lot about this place. When we got there Samantha was going CRAZY! She was a crazy dog. The first 20 min. of the class the puppies get to play with each other. It was a really good time for her. She really enjoyed it. After they play we got back and get our puppy, and the owner talks about specific topics with puppies. Samantha wouldn't calm down. She kept pulling on the leash choking herself, or whining. I was so embarrassed. Finally about 2 min. before it was done she laid down. We then played pass the puppy. We sit in a circle and "pass the puppies." This is good to interact them with people. Of course she was snipping at people. (We talked about this issue tonight, so hopefully we will stop that) After we were done we headed home. She slept the entire way! Then when we got home she still crashed.

We have started today practicing not snipping at people. We have to hold her collar and then hold her mouth closed. A lot of times I feel like I am being so mean because she whines or tries to pull away, but I know it will help soon. Several of the other pet owners said they had to do this too, and it was stopped in about 3 days!

She has been a really good puppy today!! And I can't wait until next week to learn more about what to do to help her learn, and be a great dog!

Tomorrow I promise to do a Wordless Wednesday post with pictures from the past week! Hope you had a great weekend! :D
