Wordful Wednesday

So I have been horrible at taking pictures lately... Hence why I haven't blogged because I don't really like to blog without pictures... I know I know... It's ok to post without pictures but for me I feel like it is more exciting for you to look at pictures than just read.

But I haven't blogged in a few days (almost 3) so I figured I'd go ahead and post.
Let's see what we have been up to here...
Monday was a cleaning day. I had gotten the urge to clean the house... and I mean CLEAN the house. On hands and knees, dusting, vacuuming. I wanted the house cleaned. So I set out about 11am and finished about 2pm. It felt good to get it done!! Good to sit down afterward feeling clean! :D After that I decided to take my bike out for a ride since I hadn't done that since I got it. I took it out about 4pm.... JOKE. In case you didn't know.. It's HOT are 4pm. No fun. I should've waited til about 6pm if not later when it starts to cool down. After that I came back and showered. I ate dinner (sandwich) and then headed over to my parents to watch the Bachelorette... Who do you like so far? I believe Ashley is CRAZY.

Tuesday was a pretty busy day. I got asked if I wanted to go to camp with our youth, so I was on the hunt to find a place to board Samantha. Our vet was already booked due to it being the week before the 4th. (and we don't get back til the 2nd so that's the 4th weekend) A lot of the other place I was looking were REALLY expensive. So finally I found a place in Rogers from a friend at church. I got her booked then had to start finding things to take to camp (shorts and 1 piece bathing suite) Gosh who would've thought it would've taken me all day to find shorts (that are long enough) and a one piece bathing suite. I ended up finding shorts and then got a tankini because it is one of the longer ones so when I raise my arms you don't see my stomach. Took me long enough. That afternoon I stopped my TCBY to meet Berkli and her boys for a little tasty treat! Afterwards I came home, and Samantha and I headed to the dog park for some play time for her. We came home and I watched The Voice.

Today... Well today's been a pretty relaxed day. I got up, and hung out for a little bit... Took a shower... Watched TV, facebooked, read blogs, played games, etc. I then decided that we would go to the dog park tonight since the rest of the week is going to be pretty blah weather wise. She did really good at the dog park tonight. When we first got there I have never seen her stay around me with her tail between her legs. It was crazy. She finally warmed up but when a certain dog came around her she did the same thing.... We just got home, and are now watching the Address to America from Obama... waiting for SYTYCD (so you think you can dance) to start!!!

The rest of the week is pretty chill too. Tomorrow night our Sunday School is getting together to have Homemade Ice Cream! Yum. I still have to get stuff together for camp (they have theme nights that I need to dress up for) I also am writing letters for Nathan for the time I am gone so he will still get a letter each day, so that will take me a bit since it'll be 6 days.

So there's my Word"FUL" Wednesday! Maybe I will get better about taking pictures so I can have pictures next time! ha

Fun Friday!

So today was an overall good day! Last night I headed over to my parents house to watch SYTYCD!!! :D By far one of my favorite shows.
Today I woke up, and hung around the house relaxing with my Samantha! After lunch I decided I needed to head out and get some fresh air. So I decided to head to Moser's to get some things for my classroom this year! :D I had a gift certificate there.
After I headed there (and spend a while there I might add... And haven't finished spending my gift certificate!) I decided to head and get a snow cone. I was in Rogers, so I stopped by the snow cone place there. I like that one because you can get a small size one for only $1.50 instead of being stuck with a HUGE one and not finishing it all like other places.
So in honor of Nathan here is a picture of me getting one.
Somewhat bitter sweet since we always get them together... But he said I could get one everyday if I wanted to just for him :D
After I left there I headed to Walmart to pick up my medicine... While there I found a cute Maxi dress that I will have to take a picture of when I decide to wear it!
Here is a picture of my goodies today from Moser's! It made me super excited!
*Oh and the children's books I stopped by Helping Hands to get them!*

When I got home my mom called, and asked if I wanted to go to dinner with them. So I headed back their way and we ate at Famous Dave's... Haven't eaten there in a long time, but it was a good choice!
We then Redboxed the movie "I Am Four"... Pretty good movie at the beginning.. Kind-of became comic at the end... They will probably make a sequel out of it.

I got the big catalog from Moser's today to hopefully find a pocket chart they didn't have in the store... I could be in big trouble looking through it... YIKES!
Looks like I'm off to look through it, and maybe fall asleep

*Just a little post: If anyone is wanting a cat... We have one that we would like to give to someone* :D

TD 0/TD 1

So yesterday was the first day... I'm not gonna lie. It was a hard one. But luckily in the afternoon I was able to stay busy for the rest of the day. I got to look at things for school, and now I need to make a list of everything I am going to need. (Which is A LOT of stuff... If you have anything you would love to donate.. book shelves, baskets, etc. I would appreciate it) Later that afternoon I wrote my first letter to my wonderful husband. It was mailed today!
We got me some lovely stationary so I could write him letters!
I then took Samantha to the dog park... One of my favorite places to go. She had a great time, and was worn out by the time we came home. When we got home I turned on SYTYCD!!! My favorite shows. It is also Nathan's favorite show, so it's hard to watch it without him, but he will only miss 4 episodes and will catch up when he gets back.

I leave you with a picture of Samantha. We have heard of several people ask what she is, and we still aren't sure. But we are learning more towards this type of dog....
Vizsla!!! We also still think she has other dogs in her like pit or lab.
But if you look up Vizsla online and look at all her pictures she looks a lot like this dog!

Also I know a lot of you that read my blog are not teachers.... If you are than that is great, but there is a give away on a teacher blog that I read... So if you would like a $25 gift certificate to her teacher store than register for her give away!

Hope you have a great day! Off to write another letter... And maybe go ride my bike if the weather stays clear!

Dog walker, Birthdays, Airplanes

So I have really been a horrible blogger lately. It's been over a week since I blogged last. I could blame it on the fact that I wanted to spend all my time with my husband.. or just being lazy. ha
But here's what you missed
Last thursday I went over to my parents to swim, and my dad decided he was going to walk.. BOTH dogs. So Samantha our dog and their own dog Suzy who is like 15 years old...
Here's what it looked like:
Ha...
Afterwards she finally decided to lay down and stop moving constantly... She stole suzy's bed and this is what it looked like. ha
We are trying to get Samantha used to a lot of people/kids/dogs so we have been taking her to the farmer's market on Saturdays. We took her this past Saturday and it ended up being an art show downtown as well. There were a lot of people there. But it was fun. Afterwards we went to run a few more errands.
Each evening we try to take Samantha to the dog park to run and play. She is doing a great job and it's giving her a chance to run off energy and socialize!
Yesterday morning Nathan told me he was going running, so he got up about 7:15 or so, and headed out. When he got back about 8:30 he came into the room and told me to get up because it was 8:30 and his last day here. I kept wondering why he was already dressed and I didn't hear him shower after his run....
Well I got up and went upstairs. He of course was video tapping and when I came up the stairs he yelled happy birthday. I looked out the window of our house and saw this sticking up from the back of my car...
He said since he was going to be gone for my birthday he decided to give me my gift early! :D
We then went bike riding through bentonville! It was a great day spent with my wonderful husband.
That evening Courtney celebrated her 16th birthday. We went to fast lane and bowled and played lazer tag. Then went back to my parents house to have cake and open presents.
This morning we woke up early... 4:15 to get ready and head to the airport.
We got to the airport and here is my man ready to go
The airport is so nice about letting family go through, so we were able to spend time together at the airport. This is us right before he left
This afternoon I am headed to do school stuff. If you haven't heard I have been moved to 1st grade. I was a little nervous/upset at first, but am getting more excited as I get ready and plan my classroom out!

Farmer's Market

So here's a few pictures to recap the past few days. Monday we went over to my parents for Memorial day. The rest of the week was pretty relaxing. I didn't think I would sub, but a teacher needed me for the past 4 days. She lost her mom, so needed to be out.
Tuesday I had my interview with HR and filled out a ton of paper work. It's almost official. It goes in front of the board June 20th, and then I will get my contract.
Friday I got to go to Thomas Jefferson though and meet the teachers I will be working with. We talked a little bit about next year, and I saw their classrooms. I then came home and started looking at classroom themes. I have come up with my theme for next year: SUPER HEROS!
I am really excited about this theme. I have found the cutest super heros that look like kids. They are going to have a blast making up their own super hero names, and coloring their super hero to use for classroom jobs/displaying work.
We went to the Farmer's Market Saturday, and Samantha did a great job. She was a little excited at first, but then calmed down and was a great dog. We ran a bunch of errands with her then went over to my parents to swim. Nathan put her in the pool a few times. She did not like it very much....
My two loves!
Yummy steak and corn on the cob Nathan grilled out!
Awe
Sleepy girl!
She loved rolling in the grass and cooling herself off.
Samantha and I chilling at the Farmer's Market in the grass! Tired baby!!

Today I subbed, and after school came home and rested with Samantha. We decided to go to the dog park about 6:30pm. We saw some people/dogs that we had met before, and she got to play again with them. While playing she somehow hurt her leg/paw and began limping. We still aren't sure how it happened. She's getting better at walking on it, but still has a little limp. It made me so sad for her... Wishing I could fix it or at least know what was wrong. Hopefully she will be better tomorrow. She loves the dog park and playing with the other dogs. She is always worn out when we get home.
