Weekend!

Well... I don't know if anyone will actually be reading this... But this is fun anyway. It will be neat to go back and read this later! Fun memories.

So Friday was blah... Didn't do anything after class except nap, watch tv, and read!

Saturday though was really exciting!!
I woke up this morning, and began the day by heading to North Little Rock. My roommate is getting married in May so we headed to David's Bridal to try on our bridesmaid dresses.
We tried them on and they are sooo cute! I took my camera, but am horrible about actually taking pictures so there are none to account this journey.
After we tried on the dresses, and figured out what shoes we are wearing we headed to TGI Fridays for a late lunch/early dinner!
After that we headed back to the delph.

On the way back we stopped at Starbucks to pick up Blair's save the dates that look SOOO cute!

Once back I just hung out at the apartment and watched Deck the Halls!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I love Christmas Time!

So I decided to join Kelly's tour of Christmas Trees!!
I would put up our tree from home that I got to help my mom put up over Thanksgiving break, but I don't have pictures (these trees are really pretty, and fun!)
But....
In the apartment Blair and I have a tree, so that will do!!!!
As you can see it is white with red and black balls on it.
Here is another picture of it.... no flash!
Here is a close up of the ornaments.... red, black, and a candy cane!
The topper.... don't know why it ended up sideways like this..
Our tree is very simple... but fun to have in the apartment to bring in the Christmas spirit!
And to end it... Here is a family Christmas picture I thought would be fun to share!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!!
I promise to keep up with the blog now... I think. ha

He asked... I said yes!

The ring!!!!

Getting ready to come pick me up! He told me to be ready because we were going to dinner and a movie by 2:30... So I was ready at 2:30 and he kept stalling because we weren't supposed to be at the church til 3:00! ha...the only time i am ever ready he didn't expect me to be.

We were in my house getting ready to go and my mom comes by asking what our plans were so I told her, and she asked if we could stop by the church to pick up something for her for children's choir. So I said yea. So we head out, and I told Nathan that we could just stop by the church after dinner, but he insisted that we went then... Who knew. ha

So we get to the church, and we get out. He grabs this bag...I ask him why he is taking that in because it will take less than 5 min to get what we need and get out. His response was.. "I take this everywhere." My response back was.. "Only girls carry purses...." Not knowing what was inside.

We start walking and he tries to lead me to the chapel doors... and I was like no that is pointless these doors over here are closer to my moms office... Well he ends up convincing me to go through the chapel doors. We get to the "lobby" area and he tells me to close my eyes... My heart starts pounding. He says that he knows that I have been stressed and sad lately and he wanted to do something special for me. So I close my eyes and he leads me in. As we enter music starts to play.

He walked me into the chapel with my eyes closed. Lead me up to the stage.
He told me he had something to read to me. So he began to read 1 Corinthians 13.
"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not loved, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes the partial will pass away. When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. So now faith, hope and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love."
After reading he gave me a hug and told me he loved me. Then told me I could open my eyes. While opening my eyes he gets down on one knee and says some sweet things and asks if I will marry him!!
AHH I AM ENGAGED!
Starring at the ring.
Picture of us together after he asked.
Starring at it....again. I just couldn't take my eyes off of it!
We headed back to his house to share dinner with our families. Then later that evening he invited several of our friends to come celebrate!

Picture with the family!
These next few pictures are from my blow out... (for those who don't know what that is... well it is when I tell my social club(sorority) that I am engaged). That is why I had to keep it a secret for a few days!

I Like... Fridays

So I have decided to do something fun on my blog!

I have decided to do an I Like list!

It's quite simple each week is going to have a theme, and we are going to talk about what we like about that themes!

This week is SUMMER!!!

Even though it is almost over.... sad. We can still talk about it!

So I'll begin.

  • I Like the pool

  • the beach

  • hanging out with friends and family

  • no school
  • warm weather

  • summer TV shows like So you think you can dance, The Bachelorette, etc

  • vacations!

  • road trips to see friends

  • the hope for fall!

That is just a few for right now. It gives you an idea for what to post on your blog. It also gives you an idea of what to watch out for so next week you can post!

So what you do is you just post on your blog, and then add your blog to my list!

If you don't have a blog then you can add your I like to my comments for all of us to read!

Hope you all have fun doing this!

Canterbury Tales

Well today was a lovely 6:00am rise to head out towards Canterburry and Dover. It was a great day here not hot at all, but did not rain on us. It was a unique/historical trip. Enjoy the pictures Hope you enjoy them.

This is the last standing gate to the entrance of Canterburry where all the pilgrims would have to enter.
Here is a sign I love. haha. They amuse me with their signs and words they use for certain things! So much fun!
It may be hard to see, but towards the back of this picture there is a thing called the dunking chair.
This is the place where they created/thought up/purchased the Mayflower and then sailed to the US from Plymouth England!
Fire truck of Canterburry. (That's really for Nathan) :)
Canterburry Cathedral!
The crest of Prince Charles in Canterburry Cathedral!
We climb all those steps after climbing up a winding hill for quite a ways.
After climbing up the steps he was so tired. Gotta rest a minute!
Me onlooking the English Chanel!
They white cliffs that Dover is famous for! So pretty the picture cannot even capture its beauty.
The actual Castle part of Dover!
Me inside a tunnel/storage place during the war!
Overlooking the city of Dover!
Cool Cannon outside the Dover Castle. For protection.
Sea gulls were EVERYWHERE!
Some Bike riders decided to take the journey up the hill..... Oh man I would have died
Here we are outside Dover Castle!
I thought this was a fun sign! I mean I really like the picture that went along with it mainly! They just wanted to make sure you didn't fall off the cliff and roll down.
So I know you are probably tired of seeing pictures of unique signs or things like that.... But I thought this was cool. I mean if you would compare it to a thing of sweet n sour SAUCE in the US it would be completely different. Good thing it tasted the same though!

Tomorrow we are headed off to Bath and Stonehenge. Hopefully we will come back with some great pictures. Maybe even some more unique signs!!!!
